HexaBlitz by Muhammad Ghareeb - Alexandria ** SECTION I The fun and addictive match-three / bubble-shooter (or hexagon-shooter) game revisited. The idea of this implementation is to convert the game from a strategy/action-planning game into a fast-paced survival aimed at competing for high scores and breaking your way through unlimited levels. The game is no longer turn based, you don't control your cannon anymore; It charges and fires automatically in given intervals and your goal is to adjust its aiming angle (I'll work out some story behind this). This allows the possibility of including acceleorometer controls which will definetly alter the game feel. You level up after firing some amount of hexagons which are indicated by the bottom bar. The game's pace speeds up with each level and your presented with novel hexagons each set of levels. As usual, matching three bubbles of the same colour earns some points. Moreover, collecting more than three gives you a super hexagon specified for different colours each with a unique effect. This game definitely guarantees a thrilling yet entertaining experience. |

Project Babel by Edem kwadzo - Lomé Project Babel est une application créée pour recenser les mots (slangs) couramment utilisés dans nos villes africaines mais qui bien évidemment ne figurent dans aucun dictionnaire officiel.
Le but du projet est de pouvoir mettre à la disposition de l’utilisateur, une base de données évolutive de ces mots, classés par pays. La collecte de ces mots étant une tache non aisée pour une seule personne, Project Babel est conçu sous forme d’un réseau social ou chaque utilisateur peut poster un mot et sa définition or poster un mot et attendre qu’un autre utilisateur en donne sa définition. On peut ainsi disposer de plusieurs définitions pour un mot donné. Les utilisateurs peuvent voter pour des définitions qui leur paraissent plus exactes que d’autres. Ce système de votes permet aux bonnes définitions d'apparaître en tête de liste lors d’une recherche. La recherche de mot est faite en utilisant des algorithmes ‘intelligents’ de sorte à retourner des résultats même si l’utilisateur faisant la recherche ne connait pas l’orthographe exacte du mot recherché. Toujours dans le but de faciliter la recherche, Project Babel dispose d’une recherche vocale qui permet à l’utilisateur de prononcer un mot qu’il a entendu dans la rue et d’obtenir immédiatement sa définition au cas où cette dernière est disponible.
Un utilisateur peut inviter ses amis (via Facebook) à installer l’application. Il peut aussi partager une définition via SMS, Email, etc.…
Project Babel pourra aussi faciliter l’intégration des étrangers dans nos villes africaines en leur permettant de comprendre et d’utiliser ces mots propres à nos langages.
